Twenty years ago today, my world turned upside down. As I sat waiting for the results of a biopsy that would later confirm an almost stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis, my ex-husband walked out of our home. In one moment, I was left with uncertainty, fear, and the heavy weight of raising three young children alone.
But here’s the miracle: 20 years on, I am still here. Not only alive, but thriving. I found my voice, my purpose, and a calling to help others walking through storms of illness, heartbreak, and unexpected life changes.
Tough times never last—but tough people do.
The Power of Resilience
Cancer taught me that life doesn’t always give us the choice to be strong—but we do get to choose how we respond. What felt like the end of my story became the beginning of a new chapter filled with resilience, faith, and purpose.
I discovered that healing is more than physical—it is emotional, spiritual, and mental. I chose to rise, to rebuild, and to use my journey as a testimony for others.
Finding My Voice and Helping Others
Today, I mentor women who feel broken, alone, or overwhelmed by illness, loss, or trauma. I show them that your past does not define you—your response to it does.
Through my books, Turning Fear Into Strength and Scars of the Unbroken, and my coaching as a transformation mentor, I share tools to help others move from fear to faith, from pain to purpose, and from survival to true living.
A Message for You
If you’re facing your own battles—whether in health, relationships, or finances—please know this: you are stronger than you think, and you are never alone.
What the enemy meant for harm can become the very thing that births your destiny. If I could rise after cancer, heartbreak, and financial struggle, then so can you.
